The company name HUNGER has existed for more than 70 years. In 1922 Ludwig Hunger established a toolmaking factory in Munich where he produced precision cutting tools (Hunger-Reamers).
In 1967 a branch was opened in Kaufering by Manfred Hunger, son of the founder, as there was no possibility of futher expansion at the main works. The Kaufering branch was converted in 1970 into an independent limited company.
Today we are firmly established as the world market leader in brake reconditioning machinery through the development and production of specialised machines specifically for the brake repair shop.
Our location is in Bavaria, 60 km west of Munich, where we produce our machines using the most progressive methods in a modern production complex with 6,000 sq.m. of workshop space. Currently the third generation leads this family business. Markus and Thomas Hunger are energetically supported by a trusted and qualified team of around 60.
